Job Overview:

As a Project Coordinator at Cognitive IT Solutions, you will play a crucial role in the successful planning, execution, and completion of IT projects. You will assist the Project Manager in coordinating project activities, managing timelines, and ensuring effective communication between team members and stakeholders. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

● Assist the Project Manager in coordinating day-to-day project tasks and deliverables.

● Track project progress, manage timelines, and ensure that milestones are met.

● Organize and participate in stakeholder meetings and prepare and distribute meeting minutes and project reports.

● Maintain and update project documentation, including schedules, status reports, and risk assessments.

● Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure smooth execution of project tasks.

● Monitor project budgets, expenses, and resource allocations to ensure cost efficiency.

● Provide regular status updates to team members and stakeholders, addressing any concerns or issues as they arise.

● Identify and report potential risks to the Project Manager and assist in developing mitigation strategies.

● Ensure company processes, procedures, and quality standards are adhered to throughout the project lifecycle.

● Support resource planning and allocation in collaboration with project managers and department heads.

● Contribute to recruitment and hiring of IT resources, ensuring alignment with project requirements.

● Conduct strong research and analysis to support project decisions and strategies.

● Assist in creating Software Requirements Specifications (SRS) for various IT projects.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

● Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Computer Science (BSCS), or a related field.

● Proven experience in a project coordination role, preferably within the IT or technology sector.

● Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

● Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Trello, Asana) and standard office tools (e.g., MS Office Suite).

● Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to rapidly changing priorities.

● A detail-oriented and proactive approach to problem-solving.

● Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

● Experience in the recruitment process for IT roles, including screening and assessing candidates.

● Strong research and analytical skills to support project planning and problem-solving.

● SRS writing skills to assist in defining technical project requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

● At least 2 years of experience in managing IT projects or working in a technology-focused environment.

● Knowledge of agile and waterfall project management methodologies.

● Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, CAPM) is a plus.
